Remy Ma is continuing to expand her acting résumé with a leading role in Lifetime's upcoming psychological thriller, Don't Trust the Girls Upstairs.The rapper and television personality stars as Ashley Preston, a woman whose life takes a dark and unexpected turn after she and her husband, Elliot, welcome Ashley's orphaned teenage niece, Serena, into their home following a family tragedy. What begins as an act of compassion quickly spirals into a series of unsettling events that leave Ashley questioning everything and everyone around her.


As tensions rise within the household, Ashley finds herself caught in a web of secrets, manipulation, and growing paranoia. With trust beginning to disappear among the people closest to her, she must uncover the truth before the situation turns deadly.

For Remy Ma, the role offered an opportunity to explore a character carrying deep emotional wounds.


Don't Trust the Girls Upstairs marks another collaboration between Remy Ma and Lifetime. Fans may remember her previous acting appearance in the network's 2023 film Girl in the Closet. This latest project continues to showcase her growth beyond music as she takes on more complex and emotionally demanding roles.


The thriller also stars Garfield Wilson, Aliyah Marc, and Sasha Rojen. Don't Trust the Girls Upstairs premieres June 20 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime, giving viewers a suspense-filled story packed with family drama, hidden secrets, and unexpected twists.
