Chicago’s creative culture is taking center stage as @xlfilmfestival returns for its fourth year, bringing together film, culture, conversation, and opportunities for creators across the city. This year’s lineup features Larenz, LaRon and Lahmard Tate, Anthony Anderson, Karyn Parsons, LaRoyce Hawkins, J. Ivy, Emory Jones, Sherman “Dilla” Thomas, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams and more.

Founded by Troy Pryor of Creative Cypher, XL Fest has evolved beyond a traditional film festival into a growing marketplace that connects emerging filmmakers and creatives with industry access, professional relationships, development resources, and potential distribution opportunities. The 2026 festival also expands its footprint through new collaborations, including the Obama Presidential Center, The Silver Room, and Kickstarter, with programming and activations happening throughout Chicago.
